The Bumblebee Stadium

The Bumblebee Stadium is the home of East Kilbride Football Club, and it still feels like a country-park ground after the club’s climb into the SPFL. Visiting supporters will find a compact 3G pitch inside Calderglen Country Park, on Strathaven Road in the St Leonards area of East Kilbride, G75 0QZ. It opened in May 2011 as the K-Park Training Academy, and that older name is still what you will see on maps and some tickets. In 2026 the club agreed naming rights with Bumblebee EV, a charging firm founded in the town and later acquired by Arnold Clark.

Only two sides are normally opened to spectators. Published figures put the capacity at about 767, of which roughly 400 are seats, with the rest standing. The covered home stand sells out for the bigger visits, so sort tickets before travel day rather than trusting a cash gate.

Home supporters use the Sam’s Carpets Main Stand, a covered seated stand along the southwest touchline, with the changing pavilion at its country-park end. From those seats you look across the pitch, and the goals are at either end of the stand, not in front of it. Visiting supporters go to the Wm. Donnelly Away Stand, opened in October 2024 with support from the local firm W.M. Donnelly & Co. It is standing room behind the northwest goal, so that goal is directly in front of you. Facing the pitch, the main stand is on your right. The southeast end is open, and the dugout side is closed to spectators. Stewards will split the Donnelly Stand if both sets of fans have tickets there.

By car, leave the M74 at Junction 5 or the M77 at Junction 5 and follow the A725 or A726 into East Kilbride. At Birniehill Roundabout take Strathaven Road towards Calderglen Country Park. The ground is about 100 yards inside the park entrance, on the left. The stadium car park is for players and officials. Spectators should use Colonsay Field, left of the main country-park entrance, with overflow in Kelvin Industrial Estate across Strathaven Road.

East Kilbride railway station is about two to two and a half miles away, so a taxi or local bus finishes the journey. Allow extra time on a Saturday, when the country park is busy with families who are not there for the football.

Tickets are sold in advance through the club’s Fanbase page, and a QR code is the usual way in. A 2025 visiting-club guide listed £15 for adults, £10 for concessions and £5 for under-16s, but check the fixture page because prices move. Turnstiles for a 3pm kick-off have often opened at 2pm. Card and cash are taken at the kiosks. There is no alcohol. Smoking, including vaping, is banned inside K-Park, pets are refused, and pyrotechnics will be taken at the gate. The club is strict about language and behaviour in a family park.

Disabled supporters should speak to a steward on arrival. Cover is good in the main stand and thinner on the Donnelly terrace, so bring a jacket. Floodlights cover midweek fixtures. From the away end you are close to one goal, with the home support a touchline away.
